I am proud to say that I have joined the "Occupy" movement and showed my support this weekend by protesting at our city hall. It's a large movement with a long list of complaints, demands and ideas. I have for some time now felt that America is a sinking ship and if something doesn't change soon, there will be dire consequences. Greetings from Austin! I hope you're all well and are enjoying summertime! It has been HOT, which means lots of time by the pool! I am probably more tan than I've ever been. The past few months have been busy, somewhat tumultuous, and extremely self revealing. Since moving into the new apartment I feel like I finally have a place to call home. I love having people over and just being able to relax in our little haven. I started a garden on the balcony! I'm growing Quinoa, Cucumbers, Edamame, Basil and Jalapeños! I also have some very pretty flowers growing. I'm excited to see how the veggies turn out. So far this summer I've been tubing , took a trip to Schlitterbahn , visited the Ft. Worth Zoo ,  went to see The Decemberists and Gogol Bordello (2 of my favorite bands), eaten LOTS of delicious food and become more self aware… like I said, it's been a busy few months! There is no other explanation. HELLO! It's been a while. Christmas feels like it was years ago. I'm sitting at the computer in our new apartment. The AMAZING new apartment. I'll post photos soon. It's nice to have a place where I finally feel excited to say I'm home. I'm quite possibly happier than I've ever been, and things just keep getting better. Thanks to Rachel I have a bike now! I went on my first bike ride in about 15 years a few weeks ago and it was wonderful. There's a trail behind the apartment complex that goes into the woods and the bike is perfect for it. I rode as the sunset, it was just breathtaking. I think I would write forever SO I'm going to let the pictures do the talking a bit! It snowed and was cold enough to stick for a day!
